OK heres the situation. 89 civic DX sedan automatic.
This is new as of today. And this only happens at a dead stop, like a red light. It bogs down big time and twice almost stalled on me and actually did one time. once its moving though it runs GREAT!!! smooth and strong. Just this little "problem". Any Ideas?

You could try giving it a tune up. Then resetting your ecu. That may help your idle problem. Cheapest way too...

To reset the ECU, pull the fuse labled ECU in the fuse box under the hood. If you do this, however, when you restart the car, don't touch the gas pedal until the engine comes up to operating temp. In other words, just let it idle a few minutes.
